In coordination with the Iowa DNR and the National Rifle Association, Iowa holds their own YHEC event each year. While the venue has changed over the years, youth still gather each year to challenge themselves to become better outdoors men and women.
The Iowa YHEC event is and all day event held on a Saturday in late May/early June at Rock Creek Marina and Campground, operated by Clinton County Conservation. Shooting events are graciously hosted by a local family on a private range nearby.
